The 2020 Mercedes-Benz CLA is coming soon! The completely redesigned CLA was unveiled in January of this year and it is set to arrive at Mercedes-Benz of Caldwell and other dealerships nationwide late this year! The 2020 CLA not only received upgraded driver assists and safety features, but it is also getting a sportier, new look (European models shown above). This 4-door coupe is highly anticipated and for good reason. Let’s take closer look at what updates we can expect in the 2020 CLA.

The 2020 CLA received a serious upgrade both inside and out. Let’s start by taking a look at the interior updates and technology upgrades. The first thing you will notice is the redesigned, wing-shaped dashboard that seamlessly extends from one door to the other. The driver display and infotainment is one seamless, freestanding touchscreen that stretches from behind the steering wheel over to the center of the cabin. The CLA also comes with the new MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) system that allows you to communicate with your vehicle using natural voice commands, initiated with a simple “Hey Mercedes.”

The 2020 CLA’s redesigned exterior is unmistakable. A single, fluid body line stretches from the hood to the rear taillights moving your eyes along the vehicle. The body lines have been simplified, but the headlights and bumper outlets are bolder creating a unique design. New LED headlamps, a panoramic roof, and 64 color ambient lighting in the cabin round up some of the upgrades to the CLA. Available upgrades include a new AMG® line and available Night Package.

The 2020 CLA comes with a turbocharged, 2.0-liter engine that makes 221 horsepower and 258 ft-lbs. of torque. That much power in a compact package makes the CLA an absolute joy to drive. That’s a 13 horsepower improvement over the 2019 CLA and that’s 33 horsepower more than the comparable Mercedes-Benz A 220. The CLA will come standard with front-wheel drive but 4MATIC® all-wheel drive is still an available option. Mercedes-Benz engineers say the suspension and steering improvements make the new CLA the best driving compact Mercedes-Benz model. The 2020 CLA is 2 inches longer, 2 inches wider, has a 1 inch longer wheelbase, and is lower to the ground than the 2019 model, which all would add up to improve overall handling and stability (European models shown below).
